Many will take advantage of the holidays this summer to go on a trip to Quebec or, like our team, to visit the United States through video companies near me. Obviously who now says travel necessarily says mobile devices and applications? Here are our favorite mobile applications for traveling to the United States without worries!
APPS TO GET READY:
Tripit: To group all of your reservations and email confirmations in one place, whether for your flights, your hotel reservations or to easily create an itinerary to follow during your trip. You can also generate reservations directly from the application for certain restaurants and buy tickets for shows.
Hostel Booker: To travel cheaply, hostels (which aren’t just for youngsters by the way) happen to be the ideal solution. With Hostel Booker, find in one application the complete offer in the region visited.
Couchsurfing: Those who are already familiar with the Couchsurfing formula will like to know that the mobile application is just as useful.
SimplyPack: Are you one of those people for whom preparing suitcases is a real chore or are you simply always afraid of forgetting something for your stay? The SimplyPack app helps you get ready and don’t forget anything.
Travel Checklist: If you’re like me, you’re always terrified of forgetting something before you go on a trip, here’s the app you need, a checklist tailored to your type of trip! For camping lovers, try the Camping Checklist, really practical!
PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS ON THE ROAD:
WIFIFinder: Because even on vacation, we sometimes have to give the news to the family, check some emails, or simply post our most recent photos on Facebook and Instagram! Wi-Fi-Finder is a free application that lists for you more than 320,000 public locations with a free Wi-Fi connection! We love!
LiveTrekker: If you love, like me, being able to easily remember all the places you visited on your vacation so you can recommend them to family and friends, the LiveTrekker app is perfect. Day after day, you can enter information on your most recent visits and discoveries and accompany them with your photos, a description, etc. The result is a map of your stay like a logbook in images and geolocated! You can also share your diary on social media.
America’s National Parks: For nature lovers, you’ll love this application bringing together information on the 58 American national parks. The app will tell you how to get to the nearest park, detailed maps of each of the parks along with their topography and activity information are also available from a production company near me. You can even create your circuit via the section your interests (points of interest (POI)) directly on an integrated map.
Fuelmyroute: For those who, like us, will be taking a short road trip this summer, the FuelMyRoute application can certainly help you prepare for your trip and avoid running out of gas. FuelMyRoute takes your starting and ending point and the type of gasoline required for your vehicle and maps gas stations for you to fill up on the road.
APPS FOR FOODIES:
Eat St.: Taken from the famous American show of the same name, the free Eat St. app lets you find street food available in the United States via geolocation! Unfortunately, the application does not seem to work in Quebec but we will test it for you on the road during the journey! We promise to also try the app: Chicago Food Truck Finder.
TVFoodMaps: If you’re a Food Network buff, you’ll love the TVFoodMaps app to help you find places featured on the show that are nearby. Just enter your origin and destination details and the app will suggest places to visit including the name of the show the business appeared in, the address, and the link to the official website of the establishment.
SLEEP APPS:
Park4night: Recommend your best places to camp and benefit from community recommendations via geolocation. The application already contains places in Quebec, but we intend to try it to find some beautiful campsites during our road trip as well!
APPS TO GET AROUND:
Rest Area Locator: If you’re traveling to the United States this summer, you’ll most definitely enjoy this app! Rest Area Locator allows you to find the next nearby rest area in addition to tourist information services and services available at that location.
Spinlister: Because it can be expensive to pay for bike rentals and the like during your holidays and above all because unfortunately, you can’t take everything by car, Spinlister is a peer-to-peer app allowing you to rent directly from a person with the desired equipment: a bike, a surfboard, a pair of skis, a snowboard, etc. You can also list your items for rent for free!
