Patti has 10 requirements for considering projects. She checks that each prospective project meets “at minimum four, and hopefully six of these requirements.”
Her requirements include paying attention to her intuition and determining what she needs to do to allow her to enjoy life more and improve as an individual (“intellectually and emotionally, physically as well as spiritually”) and earning money and preparing to the next generation; interacting with others, and helping people.
For example, here are some of the issues she asks herself: “Do I feel a feeling of lightness or heaviness when I consider affirming”yes?”” “Will the act of doing it allow me to consciously live my life, relish it and fully live it?” and “Does this let me be more mindful of my time, work and energy, and also help me become financially accountable?”
Patti suggests making your own list, then folding it into a neat stack and keeping them in your pocket. The best part about this approach according to Patti says is that it’ll help you simplify your schedule and free up time for activities that you’re truly interested in.
